"The Runaways" Ch.1
Lilith looked over at the young brunette standing by her side, she could not be any older than 10. She watched as the girl stepped up to the edge of the cliff, "Mercy, you're going to kill yourself."
The younger girls brilliant hazel eyes slid to her friend, a smirk spreading across her lips, "I'll be fine, 'sides I was dared and you know I don't back down from dares."
"Fine, just be careful. Even if you get out unharmed, you still have to make your way back up to the settlement and the giant beetles should be swarming the path soon."
"I know, I'm taking my dad's pistol."
"And get back before sundown, or you'll be locked out."
Mercy waved her hand dismissively, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, enough of your fun sucking wisdom."
